Here we begin one of the first, of many, times that Damon is there for Elena. With Stefan temporarily being absent at the moment of escorting Elena in the Miss Mystic Falls Ball, Damon surely comes to the rescue & handles it like a pro. This scene is instant proof on foreseeing the great chemistry shared by Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. But wait, as satisfying as this scene already is, we all enjoy the assuring look of "Thank you" that Elena gives Damon as their dance comes to an end. Yes, Elena and Damon share many unforgettable dances together in the series, but let's face it, we didn't see this first one coming. As evil as Damon is portrayed within the first season, this scene gives us a little sneak preview of how charming he actually is!#14 - "Gravity," by Sara Bareilles - Stefan & Elena reminisce on their first kiss (Season 5, Episode 4)
So, there were about 2 or 3 scenes with this particular song (all of which that capture all hearts of Stelena fans). However, this specific scene takes us back to the days when Elena was in a relationship with Stefan. Problem is, at the moment of this scene, she is actually with Damon. What leads up to here is Stefan not having recollection of any of his memories; so Elena shares the best details about their relationship and what made him a perfect boyfriend. She takes Stefan back in time, metaphorically speaking, to the first time he showed his vamp-side to her, and how everything was alright. As they get caught up in the moment, coming very close to reliving that special kiss, Elena finally reveals that she's actually dating Damon. Instantly, Stefan feels betrayed and warns her that his "hunger" is suddenly back, triggered by his anger. Regardless of how Stefan felt in this particular moment, I'm sure we all can agree that we all came back to our Stelena fandom as their lips got closer to one another's!#13 - "Speechless (Acoustic Version)," by Morning Parade - Elena tells Damon that being sired to him isn't the reason she's in love with him (Season 4, Episode 8).
Sure, okay we get it, Elena seems to be sired to Damon. However, that doesn't MAKE her fall in love with Damon, it only emphasizes her feelings for him, which is revealed later in the season. Don't get me wrong, nobody wants to see Delena fighting, but we all love that, in the midst of the fights, we see that they are fighting for each other. In this scene, Damon seems to feel as if this whole time, the intimacy they have been sharing has been a "lie." Of course he's going to feel distraught, they just made love, and he can't help but to feel cheated out of his happiness due to this scenario. Just a teeny reminder, the sire bond was brought about because Elena became a vampire via Damon blood. Therefore, even though sire bonds tend to be very rare within the series, it has possibly taken place in the beginning of Delena's relationship. Regardless, we are all aware of the attraction they have shared even prior to Elena becoming a vampire. But, back to this scene, we all love good music playing during a good Delena debate!
#12 - "Without a Word," by Birdy - Bonnie's Funeral (Season 5, Episode 4)Seriously though?! This scene broke all of our hearts, because face it, who DOESN'T love Miss Bennett? All Bonnie fans were forced stuffing tissues into our faces, while watching all of our favorite cast members cry tears of deep heart break for their dear friend. What they weren't aware of, at first was that Bonnie was in attendance of her own funeral, but was speaking through her lovely boyfriend, Jeremy. Bonnie gave speeches that were so sweet, yet heartbreaking that it caused swelling in our faces from crying so hard! Although this entire scene was depressing, I personally LOST it when they showed Matt crying when Bonnie gave her speech to him. Man, he can cry! Also, this scene marks the return of Tyler to comfort Caroline through the loss of her best friend. Overall, it was one of the most emotional scenes in the whole series thus far.
#11 - "Another Love," by Tom Odell - Elena and Damon share a cute moment and kiss in the rain (Season 6, Episode 7)
Ah!!! Yes! The moment all Delena fans have been waiting for; the infamous Delena Rain Kiss! This scene is a flashback to a moment before Damon died and got caught in the wrath of the Other Side, as well as before Elena erased her memories of her relationship with Damon. Either way, it still happened, and we finally got a glimpse at another reason why we absolutely love Damon and Elena together. This scene where Elena tells Damon to "promise me this is forever," as he does, just breaks our hearts as we are awaiting a perfect reunion between the two. Of course, a rain kiss does seem quite cliche -- never mind that, it's especially unforgettable between Delena! This scene also sparks a little more hope for the couple to be together again, as we all await Damon's return.#10 - "Twice," by Little Dragon - Elena's compelled memories come back after she becomes a vampire. (Season 4, Episode 1)
Prior to Elena becoming a vampire, she has been compelled quite a few times to forget things that have happened. This particular scene flashbacks to a special compelled memory -- when Damon first told Elena that he loves her and that he does not deserve her, like Stefan does. This is where we see a vulnerable and human-side of Damon as he expresses his love for Elena when he returns her lost necklace. Although they have showed this scene already when it was actually happen, Damon compelled her to forget it, which showed that it caused him to become emotional and even shed a tear! Elena is taken back to this moment she does not recall and sees this from Damon, and seems to become heartfelt again. Shortly after, she also gets her memory back that she did, in fact, meet Damon before Stefan, in which he compelled her to forget too. We can only imagine how setback Elena feels after telling Damon that she chose Stefan before she died, and that if she met Damon first, she'd choose him. Now she knows who she met first!#9 - "Out of the Black," by Royal Blood - Elena discovers that Caroline has convinced Stefan to turn his humanity off. (Season 6, Episode 16)
No surprise as to another reason why this episode was fairly great; behold Mr. Somerhalder wore his director shoes in production of The Downward Spiral. Here we have Caroline, whom has shut her humanity of in spite of her lack of coping healthily of her mother's unfortunate death, and threatens Stefan to turn his off as well. This was a deal done in order for him to save his "cousin," Sarah Salvatore's life. As it cuts to the screen of Elena on the phone with Stefan as she realizes it's too late, he already shut his humanity off, he's enjoying a margarita with his infamous sass-face. I think we all can agree here that regardless of how much we love Stefan the way he is, we can't help but love his inner-Ripper/Silas personality. Let's just say we enjoy all of the Stefan doppelgangers; yours too Elena, of course we couldn't forget about yours as well!#8 - "Oblivion," by Bastille - Stefan is enraged when he discovers that Elena and Damon have slept together (Season 4, Episode 9)
Now we all know that Caroline pretty much hinted the truth to Stefan, regarding Elena and Damon, in spite of the fact that she cares about her best friend. She thought that Stefan deserved to know what was really happening after his recent split with Elena. However, as soon as Stefan gets even the slightest hint that Elena and Damon have slept together, he's automatically filled with anger and rage that he starts throwing furniture with expressions of hatred flushing his face. No matter how much we all love the idea of Delena, but couldn't help but to feel heartbroken for Stefan and his feelings in this scene. I mean, Delena did sleep together within the same day that Elena and Stefan split; who wouldn't feel like crap after that? Anyway, this is a perfect song for the scene also as it is flashing from Stefan coping, while Elena is leaving Damon with Jeremy, as she leaves with Bonnie. This was only the beginning for Delena; or did it actually start long before this?#7 - "Kiss Me," Ed Sheeran - Elena and Damon make love; Caroline and Stefan discover that Elena may be sired to Damon (Season 4, Episode 7).
#6 - "Bloodstream," by Stateless - Damon finally kisses Elena, well, actually, Katherine. (Season 1, Episode 22).
Since we're already on the page of kissing, let's talk about the "Delena" kiss in the Season 1 finale! Or should we say, what we thought was Delena but actually was Damon and Katherine. Later in the seasons, before Elena starts curling her hair more often, it's easier to depict who is who between Elena and Katherine based on either straight or curly hair. Prior to this series moment, we weren't even aware that Katherine would come back to, once again, tease the Salvatore brothers. Although Damon, so sweetly, pursues a kiss on Elena, he feels a mutual connection and decides to go in for the full on-the-lip sucker! Although Katherine seemed confused at first as to what Damon was doing, we're all sure she got quite the kick out of the situation; the usual tease she is. Unfortunately, we had to wait until the beginning of the following season for Damon to finally figure it out that he actually kissed Katherine, again, not Elena. So Damon was pretty pissed.#5 - "Wings," by Birdy - The cast comes to realize that Bonnie and Damon are trapped in The Other Side. (Season 5, Episode 22)
So obviously, you do realize by now that the season finales tend to have pretty good music moments, right? Not only was this moment heartbreaking for all TVD fans, but it also left everyone hanging by a thread wondering the fate of our dear witch and vamp. Definitely a cliffhanger that left most fans in shock, but boy, was this an intense scene. Torn to know that all along, Bonnie has been the anchor between the real world and The Other Side, and will go down when The Other Side goes down as well; and also that Damon did not make it out in time before Luke rudely shook his sister out of the spell cast before she died. Although, it was quite noble of him to save his sister's life, but c'mon, you left our boy Damon in The Other Side! Not cool!#4 - "Feel So Close," by Calvin Harris - Elena and Damon feed for blood together at a frat, and dance. (Season 4, Episode 4).
If you're a true TVD fan, you MUST be a fan of this particular scene. We already get our fair share of sappy, romantic music during most of the show, so how is this scene not refreshing? Nothing like an extremely catchy tune with your very blood-lusted vamps dancing around eating people at a fraternity party, right? You know, the usual. But this scene is, in a good way, different from most scenes in the show, for the above reasons. However, it gets even more interesting when Bonnie is watching Elena and Damon partying together from afar, whom also seems shocked that Elena lost a little self-control in the task of feeding. Regardless, it definitely had to look like Damon and Elena were having the time of their lives together though!#3 - "Hunger," by Ross Copperman - Elena and Damon share their final moments together, and a beautiful dance. (Season 6, Episode 22).
Gahhhhh, if this scene doesn't melt your heart, I don't know what will. This scene marks the final moments of Delena, together, before Damon lets her go for the next [60 years]. Even though the whole entire episode had us all in pouring tears, but what better way for Damon and Elena to spend their final moments together than this? All of the goodbye seasons with Elena and the cast were almost too heart-wrenching to watch. But, of course, this one, of our favorite vamp couple had to be the deepest. Yes, a short and simple, yet sweetly choreographed dance between the two, and "I love you's" had us spilling into our tissues, but hopefully this will not be the absolute last moment we see of Delena, since there have been rumors that Dobrev is more than willing to return for the series finale. What also made this scene even more unforgettable is that it flipped back and forth of screens from Delena to Steroline. Yes, Stefan and Caroline discussing the possible future together. What really got to us, is that Stefan admitted that he loved Elena more than he thought he possibly could, but also helped he and Damon get back together. She also helped him realize that there was something in Damon that was worth loving. We also loved that Stefan has totally fallen for Caroline and even promised to wait for her. Perfect way to end the season finale. Tears. The whole time.#2 - "Wait," by M83 - Damon returns, and has a heartfelt brother moment with Stefan. (Season 6, Episode 5)

At last, my absolute favorite scene in the whole show (well, the moment I was waiting for). Yeah, we know Damon has kissed Elena in episodes prior to his, and Elena has also kissed Damon before. BUT she only kissed him prior to this when Damon was on his deathbed, due to the werewolf bite in season 2. This particular scene is great, because Elena basically puts everything else aside, and thinks "Screw it, I can't resist this anymore!" Not only is the scene shown with a great song, but the song also builds up with intensity alongside the intensity of the scene. Delena fans were sure to be excited over this one. However, before it could go any further, Elena's brother Jeremy seems to be disappointed that he caught them kissing outside. Let's face it, Elena is sort of making out with a man who once killed Jeremy, right? Screw it, this scene was epic.
